On Oct. 14, 2022 Meredith College is hosting a meet and greet and Q&A session with Jodi Picoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan for their new book, Mad Honey, which debuts Oct. 11. The event will be held in Jones Auditorium and hosted by Friends of the Carlyle Campbell Library in partnership with Quail Ridge Books. Tickets can be purchased online here, and a limited number of free tickets are available for students.

When asked about the partnership with Quail Ridge Books, Laura Davidson, Dean of Library Information Services, stated that “ Friends of the Carlyle Campbell Library have a long-standing arrangement with Quail Ridge Books that allows us to host author events on our campus when the bookstore is too small for the expected audience.”

Davidson went on to say that “this will be Jodi Picoult's third visit to our campus to promote one of her books as part of that partnership. Other authors we have hosted include Gloria Steinem, Erik Larson, Ann Patchett and Cassandra Clare.”

When asked for more information about the event, Davidson highlighted that “Picoult often invites a local author to take part in her presentation. On her last visit, that was John Grisham. On her first visit, it was Damon Tweedy. I have not heard if there will be another author at this event.”

Quail Ridge Books has a website with information about both authors, the book itself and sales of the book and tickets to the event. For more information on the free tickets or the event itself, students can email Laura Davidson at davidson@meredith.edu before Oct. 14.
