Valentine's Day Ideas in Raleigh

Love is in the air with Valentine's Day coming up just around the corner. Many may begin planning out date ideas to do with their partner or with friends. Luckily, there are many different ideas to do in Raleigh that include different crafts and experiences.

Do you want to do something crafty, but also delicious and edible? At Darlin’ Designs Baking Co they are offering cookie decorating classes from $65 a ticket. You can find the link on the Evenbrite website to purchase tickets online.

If you and your loved one love animals, then consider visiting Purr Cup cafe on Prospect Avenue. The cafe has a range of different drinks to choose from so you can sip and pet cute cats at the same time. The kitties are all rescues and their mission is to help cats find their forever homes. Appointments are not required but recommended. Those interested can book a reservation on the purrcupcaffe website

Another crafty place to get your craft on is Koala Craft. At Koala Craft they have many different crafts for individuals to choose from like tufting rugs, decorating a phone case with cream and cute stick-ons, textured painting and more. You have to book an appointment online using their koalacraft website.

If you want to get moving, a suggestion would be to go to Poses and Passion, a couples yoga class, on Saturday, Feb. 17 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. The class was created to help improve individuals' relationships with trust in one another and support and deepen your yoga experience. The tickets are $40 dollars for two.

Crabtree Valley Mall has a bunch of cool stores to window shop with your friends and loved ones. There are also many different restaurants to choose from. You could go to Build-A-Bear Workshop to get the new valentines plushies. The LEGO store has a range of different projects where you can build your own lego person or buy a set to create together. Lastly, Niche and Dime offers cute plushies, cups, blankets and cool gifts to buy for yourself or a loved one.

If you are looking for something low cost, the Museum of Art is a beautiful place to visit to look at different art installations and interactive pieces. You and your loved one could have a picnic at Pullen park or take a stroll and look at the nature around.

There are a wide variety of options to choose from in Raleigh to do for Valentines Day from doing crafts, petting cute cats, to decorating cookies.
